June was a good month for us, with live concerts and working on new repertoire. On June 30th we gave a quite nice live outdoor concert in Breda, to a great and interested audience, and with two marvellous hosts. Watch the pictures here and here. We also gave an impro livestream concert, with Pim on his new (vintage) synthesizers and grand piano, Marcel on double bass and Petra on vocals. The concert had a magical atmosphere, despite Petra’s cold and a slight sync problem. Watch it here. In September we’re back with more concerts, one of them will be a Livestream concert again. We’ll use this summer for working on new material, writing lyrics, rehearsing and booking new concerts. And for short holidays, rest and inspiration. We wish you a beautiful summer, with good weather (it’s raining a lot over here!) and we’ll see you again in September!
Live concerts in June
We gave a quite interesting Livestream Concert last Sunday, with completely improvised music. We were inspired by Pim’s new synthesizers and sequencers, which resulted in one of our best impro concerts in the last two years, despite the singer having a cold. The original live stream had a slight sync issue, so the sound has been remixed from the multi-track that was recorded at the same time and so the sound quality is even better now. A few highlights of the concert are here, here, here and here (and you can find more highlights in the shownotes of the video). Watch the complete video here (and it would be great if you subscribed to our YouTube channel, too):
AND on Sunday afternoon June 30th we give three short live concerts on the Gluren bij de Buren festival in Breda. Free entry. It would be great to meet you there!
By the way…… did you already watch our new music video Senta? It has been released in May.
We wish you a beautiful summer!

New music video and more
Great news: In May we’ll release our new music video. Film director Lars Smetsers shot this music video, together with his wonderful crew. Our bandmembers have some ‘cameos’ in it… Curious for backstage footage? Go here, here and here (scroll down). The day before the video shoot our singer gave an interview (in Dutch) about Chabliz and the new music video to local radiostation Omroep Baarle, because the set was situated in this interesting village:
And we’re recording new songs again! In February we gave a few well-received live concerts in Gouda and Vlaardingen. At the moment we’re booking new concert dates again for the upcoming months.
Livestream concerts, music video & more
We’re quite happy to announce our next, free, impro livestream concert on Sunday October the 8th, 8 PM CET. We’ll bring you completely improvised music, on grand piano, female vocals, double bass and synths. Anything can happen! Impro music is always exciting, it doesn’t exist untill it happens. Our improvised music is someting in-between pop, rock, jazz, world and classical music. All influences are present. Hopefully the sound will be as good as our most recent impro livestream.
Last month we gave our first ‘live-live’ impro set in the inspiring Barthkapel, an old chapel in The Hague. (We say ‘first’ because we usually play repertoire from our albums in live venues.) And there is more. In November we’re going to shoot a music video for our Senta song.
Currently we’re working on new material for our next album. This month our ‘Heroes and Foes’ album is one year old!
Hope to see you, virtually, on our free livestream concert on our YouTube channel on Sunday the 8th, at eight sharp PM CET.
