Journalist and DJ Jimmy Tigges wrote a nice and touching article about our work ( in Dutch 🙂 !) in the local journal “Den Haag Centraal”. This is the newspaper with the article at page 2 :

New live video : Moon
On this day of the eclipse, it’s a nice moment to share our new livevideo “Moon” with you ! It’s a song that we wrote quite some time ago, beautifully arranged by Wim Oudijk on our Nightporter album. This is our most jazzy song, but, not the usual jazz, we wouldn’t be Chabliz if we didn’t give it a dark jazz / jazz-noir atmosphere. The video is recorded in Blanko, a venue in Emmen, Holland ( right after Halloween 2014 ) and the video is recorded by Catself and edited by Christer Holm. Please enjoy ! :
Chabliz gigs in New York
Good news ! Chabliz is invited to play live in the The Real Radio Show in New York, USA at November 1 ! In the days before the radioshow we will give a few gigs in and around New York. We’re looking forward to this little tour and these great gigs. The band will give an interview too @ The Real Radio Show.
Other Dutch bands and artists who played there recently are Brainpower and Orange Grove . For more info, visit our giglist through pressing the “Concerts”-button above. We’ll keep you updated….
Screamin’ Jay Hawkins
Today it’s exactly fifteen years ago that one of our heroes Screamin’Jay Hawkins deceased. We played his famous rocksong “I Put A Spell On You” live on this You Tube video:
New Live Video Chabliz
We uploaded our new Live video @ You Tube ! Our good friend and collegue Catself and her husband Christer Holm made this video. The sound engineer is Lauwrence de Vries. The performance was two months ago @ JV Blanko
We performed Sreamin’Jay Hawkins’ famous song “I put a Spell on You”. For impatient listeners: the second half is the most interesting part……….but if you only listen to that, you’ll miss the development that makes this song so very strong……
Happy New Year !
We wish you a very happy 2015 !
In 2014 we remembered the centenary of the First World War with our videoclip “Poppies in Flanders Fields”. We also won the Public Prize of the Delft Fringe Festival, last summer. We were number two ( in November) on the Haagse Youbox Top 50 and also number one in the local Reverbnation charts. Our “Poppies” videoclip got a lot of attention in the media. In 2014 we have worked on our new album and wrote several songs. We produced and recorded and gave a few interviews, one of them at Earworks . We got a few good reviews too ( see our reviews -page for that).
We released a live-recording and an album sneak preview at Soundcloud:
We added a few songs @ iTunes and Spotify. And on top of that, we gave several gigs and concerts, some of them together with our collegue Catself .
In 2015 our next album will be released, it’s already waiting on a shelf for quite some time to get released. We’ll increase our search for a good label.
We will give several concerts and gigs, one of them at Bellewaerde during the remembrance of the Battle of Bellewaerde in june 2015. In January and March we will also release a few live videoclips, and some pictures of the concert that we gave last November. We’re looking forward to all of it !

Sound technician Lauwrence de Vries made a live recording of our gig at JV Blanko in Emmen, about four weeks ago. You’re able to listen to our version of Screamin’Jay Hawkins’ superhit “I Put a Spell on You ” right here, @ Soundcloud:
The start of the song is kind of calm, but the end is outrageous…. 🙂
